How much does plastering cost in Malaysia?
Interior plastering or skim coat typically costs RM 3.50–6.00 per sq ft, exterior rendering RM 4.50–8.00 per sq ft, and screeding RM 3.00–5.00 per sq ft. Wall repairs are quoted per item. We provide a detailed itemised quote after a free site visit.
How long does plastering take to dry?
Fresh plaster needs 3–7 days to dry before painting, depending on thickness and weather. Screed takes 7–28 days to fully cure before laying tiles or vinyl. We confirm exact drying windows in your quotation.
Can you repair cracks in walls?
Yes. We repair both cosmetic and structural cracks. Cosmetic cracks are patched and skim-coated. Structural cracks may need stitching, mesh reinforcement and sometimes underlying cause repair (settlement, water ingress) — we advise after inspection.
Do you build new brick or block walls?
Yes. We build partition walls, boundary walls, extensions and general masonry with bricks, blocks or lightweight panels as appropriate.
Do you skim coat over old plaster?
Yes, if the old plaster is sound. We apply a bonding agent first, then skim coat. If the old plaster is loose or hollow, we remove and replaster — otherwise the new coat will fail.
Can plastering fix water-damaged walls?
Yes, but only after the source of water is fixed. We identify the leak, repair it, remove damaged material, treat for mould, then replaster with waterproof render where appropriate.
Do you paint after plastering?
Yes. Painting is a separate service but we can bundle it — many clients prefer us to plaster, sand, prime and paint in one continuous project for a better finish.
